LIMA 2015: UK looks to enhance regional position

The UK is repositioning one of its secure communications satellites to cover the Eastern Pacific and will make spare capacity available to allies in the region, minister of the armed forces Phillip Dunne told reporters at LIMA 2015.

The move is one of a number of measures that the UK is undertaking as the country seeks to bolster its position in the region. On the industrial front, Dunne said that the UK had a significant presence at LIMA 2015 with some 20 companies pursuing the ‘significant opportunities’ in the country.
