Indonesia's state-owned enterprise PT Pindad is forging ahead with several new projects for the country's military, particularly in the land domain, as is demonstrated at this year's Indo Defence.

Much of this work, including armoured vehicles and weaponry, has been done in conjunction with Western suppliers under technology transfer and offset deals.

PT Pindad's chief commercial officer, Widjajanto, spoke to Shephard about the company's strategy of working with internation partners, as well as its ambition to become a leading exporter of equipment in the Asia-Pacific region.
