The often criticised process of programme acquisition is being re-evaluated by the RAF as it begins to focus on how to acquire new capabilities rather than always prioritising individual programme targets. 

Greg Bagwell, president of The Air Power Association speaks to Shephard about how this shift in thinking is adding to the creation of a modernised force, which fully understands difficult budgetary decisions and negotiations lie ahead with the UK Treasury.
