The Pentagon is preparing to finalise and sign off on a third multi-year (MY3) Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey contract, with the deal expected to be completed in the coming months.

With the current MY2 contract almost finished, negotiations for a new and final agreement have been under way for several months.

In an email to Shephard, a USN spokesperson confirmed that the MY3 contract is likely to be signed this summer.

Boeing did not wish to comment on the terms of such a contract or its associated timeline, nor has there been any indication of aircraft production quantities or delivery dates
