Tiger HAD put to the test in Africa

The French Army’s Tiger HAD attack helicopter has undergone a series of trials in the desert of Djibouti as part of the operational testing and evaluation of the new rotorcraft.

Two helicopters were deployed to French military facilities in the African country from 29 June until 29 July, operating under the supervision of the army’s GAMSTAT operational evaluation centre.

The two aircraft flew more than 100 hours while in country as the trials sought to determine how the latest version of the Tiger helicopter copes with severe hot and dusty conditions.
