Singapore Airshow: Asia revs up helo engine buys
The demand for new helicopter engines in Asia is on the rise, despite the global rotorcraft market currently being in the grips of a downturn.
French helicopter manufacturer Turbomeca told Shephard in the run up to the Singapore Airshow that Asia was the only region it saw growth in 2015.
That growth is also likely to continue this year as well, said Maxime Faribault, VP of OEM Sales.
‘I would say Asia in the best place in the world for the helicopter market,’ said Faribault.
He added: ‘Turbomeca is now the helicopter engine manufacturer that is in the strongest
