Singapore Airshow 2018: Philippine Air Force purchases 412EPI

A major announcement emanating from Bell Helicopter at Singapore Airshow 2018 on 6 February covered a long-expected purchase agreement for 16 Bell 412EPI helicopters for the Philippine Air Force (PAF).

The sale is a government-to-government one via the Canadian Commercial Corporation, and the acquisition will contribute to the modernisation programme of the Philippine military.

The helicopters for the Philippine Department of National Defense will be ‘fully configured and equipped with advanced features,’ Bell said in a press release.

Funding for what the PAF calls the Combat Utility Helicopter programme was allotted by the Department of Budget Management on 20 December,
