Sikorsky resolves engine issues

Sikorsky has confirmed it has resolved CH-53K engine overheating problems, which were revealed in a recent report.

The issues were outlined in the Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E) FY2016 annual report with the report noting that hot temperature issues within the number two engine bay had caused delays to the programme.

However, in a statement to Shephard, Sikorsky said that measures had been put in place to overcome the reported number two engine bay issue in relation to hot temperatures and its overheating.
