Russia to ink Mi-17V-5 contact with India

India is soon to receive a batch of 48 Russian Helicopters Mi-17V-5 aircraft, Rostec announced on 23 January.

The deal, which is anticipated to be signed in the first quarter of the year, is further to two contracts signed by India for 151 Mi-17V-5 assault transport helicopters for the Indian Air Force signed in 2016.

The recent announcement was expected to be relayed in 2017 but it appears this next fleet of helicopters will be delivered possibly this year and into 2019. Details on batches and scheduling are not yet known.
