Airbus Helicopters has delivered two new H225M multirole utility helicopters to the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF), the company announced on 24 October.

The helicopters were delivered under a contract signed in 2016. The new helicopters will join the RTAF’s existing fleet of six H225Ms for combat SAR, troop transport and SAR missions.

The 11t-catergory twin-turbine H225M features electronic instruments and the four-axis autopilot system. The multirole helicopter can also be fitted with various equipment to suit mission requirements.

Since 2012, the RTAF has placed orders for a total of 12 H225Ms under its fleet modernisation programme.
