Piaggio Aerospace receives Italian MoD contract
Piaggio Aerospace will support Italian Army CH-47F helicopter engines under a €50 million contract awarded by the Italian Ministry of Defence announced on 18 December.
The company will provide technical-logistic support for the 55-L-714 engine - designed by Honeywell – that powers the Italian Army’s Chinook helicopters.
The nine-year agreement will ensure spare parts and spare engines for fleet maintenance and efficiency. Piaggio Aerospace will also provide maintenance, repair and overhaul activities, together with technical-logistic support at the various Italian Army’s flight bases.
