26th June 2015 - 15:42 GMT | by Grant Turnbull in Paris

The French Army’s aviation branch (Aviation Légère de l’Armée de Terre - ALAT) wowed crowds at this year’s Paris Air Show with its NH90 flying display, which showcased the manoeuvrability of the medium-size helicopter.

Shephard spoke to Maj Cyril Dodin, an ALAT NH90 test pilot and the display pilot at this year’s show. He explained more about the display at Le Bourget and the current developments in the acquisition of the NH90 by the French military.
