PARIS 2009: Boeing’s CEO Albaugh Says Rotorcraft R&D Needs Investment Focus

With Boeing’s IDS business expecting to generate $33-34 billion in revenue during 2009, Jim Albaugh president and chief executive officer of Integrated Defence System (IDS) said that a good part of the international revenue growth will come from Asia and the Middle East, where the company expects 5-6% compound annual growth in the coming years, with a window of between two and three years to secure the business.

“India is the primary driver in Asia but we have steady customer business from countries including Japan, Singapore and Australia among others,” said Albaugh. He emphasised the value of offset programmes saying
