Ka-226T India-Russia deal soon to be inked

The contract for delivery of 200 Kamov Ka-226T light utility helicopters to the Indian MoD is likely to be signed at the end of this year or into early 2018. 

Andrey Boginsky, director general of Russian Helicopters, said that the main contractor for the Indian deal will be the joint venture between Russian Helicopters and Indian aerospace company HAL. 

The delivery of the first batch of ten Ka-226Ts to the Indian military, as Boginsky claimed, is slated to commence within two years after receipt of the first installment of advance payment allocated by the Indian MoD.
