Industry in chase for UH-1N replacement

Industry is gearing up to convince the US Air Force (USAF) that a new aircraft is the best replacement for its UH-1N Iroquois, with both Sikorsky and Airbus Helicopter confirming their intent to attend a recently-announced industry day.

The two companies will be looking to offer a new helicopter for the requirement if the RfP, due to be announced following the industry day, provides for a competition between OEMs.
