The agreement extends a previous agreement between the companies dating back to 2012. PTDI will continue to carry out customisation and delivery work for Bell 412 platforms, and will grow this work to include new customers and additional Bell commercial aircraft models. The cooperation will see PTDI conduct joint sales and marketing, customisation, aircraft delivery, aircraft component manufacturing and aircraft maintenance for the next five years.
The agreement also covers the two companies’ work supporting Indonesia’s armed forces.
Mitch Snyder, president and CEO, Bell Helicopter, said: ‘We are very pleased to continue this agreement with PTDI and expand our operational capabilities in Indonesia. The region represents a significant growth opportunity for sales and operations, and we are pleased to continue our investment in the Asia Pacific market.’
Budi Santoso, president director, PTDI, added: ‘PTDI and Bell Helicopter have been maintaining its cooperation for a long time; nowadays both companies see growth with the Bell 412 market in Indonesia, so this cooperation is mutually beneficial to both companies.’
