First MH-60 flight trainer arrives in Japan

The first MH-60R/S Tactical Operational Flight Trainer (TOFT) has been delivered to the Naval Air Facility Atsugi in Japan, the US Navy has announced. 

The simulator was delivered to the Port of Yokohama and transported by truck to Atsugi, arriving at its new home on 16 May. Installation has begun and it is expected to be ready for training by mid-2014. 

‘The simulator is the first-of-its-kind reconfigurable TOFT for the MH-60 community,’ explained Capt Craig Dorrans, Naval Aviation Training Systems (PMA-205) programme manager.
