The buying power of China and India is driving much of this investment, but even the modernisation programmes of smaller nations in the region are calling for sophisticated EO/IR systems.
Many militaries in the region already operate a wide-range of rotorcraft platforms with mission equipment that includes a nose-mounted sensor suite with target acquisition capabilities.
