Dubai Airshow 2019: Lockheed Martin teases new armed Black Hawk order

Lockheed Martin is set to announce an addition to its UH-60M armed helicopter customer base, following on from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Joint Aviation Command (JAC) first fielding the type in 2018.

The identity of the customer will be made public ‘shortly’ according to a spokesperson for the manufacturer, adding that there is ‘a lot’ of interest in the utility helicopter across the Middle East.

Abu-Dhabi based Advanced Military Maintenance Repair Overhaul Centre (AMMROC), Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin are currently involved in developing a host of UH-60M aircraft to the newer armed standard for JAC, though no official quantity
