Dubai Airshow 2011: Talon rocket ready for production

Raytheon and partners Emirates Advanced Investments have declared the Talon laser-guided rocket ready for production.

The declaration, made at the Dubai Airshow, follows an operational demonstration of the weapon carried out in the UAE in October.

During the trials, completed on a test range, the rocket was fired at and successfully hit static and moving targets. The consortium says that the demonstration met all of their objectives and 'marked the final step leading to production of the weapon'.
