D&S 2017: Turkey promotes attack helos and UAVs

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) showcased its T129 Atak multirole combat helicopter and its fixed-wing Anka medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) UAV for the Thai and regional market at the Defence & Security 2017 expo, held in Bangkok from 6-9 November.

‘Thailand is the entry market into Asia for us,’ said Gokhan Timurhan, TAI’s president of corporate communications and coordination. 

There is growing interest around the world, he said. Pakistan in now in pricing negotiations for 30 T129s and it will fly at the upcoming Dubai Airshow for the first time. ‘The show will be important to us for the Middle East region,’
