Bell Boeing to retrofit Ospreys with LAIRCM system processor

Naval Air Systems Command has ordered 24 additional integrated aircraft survivability equipment kits for the MV-22 Osprey from Bell Boeing, in a contract modification worth $16.4 million.

Features of the deal include non-recurring engineering support to retrofit a system processor onto the MV-22 Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures System (LAIRCM).  

Work will be performed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (85%); and Mesa, Arizona (15%), and is expected to be completed by April 2024.
