AVIC Helicopters forecasts 300 aircraft per annum build plan

The Chinese state-run China Aviation Industry Helicopters Corporation Ltd is flagging plans to secure at 15-20 percent share of the global helicopter business market by 2017 and is forecasting annual production targets of up to 300 new aircraft.

In parallel the new company is planning to publicly list on Chinese exchanges during 2010.

The eight year market share target was announced by Aviation Industry Corp of China (AVIC) General Manager Lin Zuoming at a ground breaking ceremony for a new plant earlier this month in the northern port city of Tianjin.
