​AUSA 2017: M134 to expand global footprint

Profense, manufacturers of the M134 minigun, is looking to expand its global footprint in the next 12 months as interest grows in the weapons system.

The M134 Gatling Gun is an electrically driven, automatic machine gun with a sustained rate of fire in excess of 3,000 rpm. However, there is capacity to have 4,500 rounds if required by the operator.

Kyle Fagin, project manager at Profense, explained to Shephard at AUSA 2017 that the company is currently in talks with a number of interested parties.

‘We have numerous orders in the pipeline but we can’t say any more this year,’
