Airbus announces safety measure for Tiger pilots

Airbus Helicopters has issued an alert service bulletin (ASB) in relation to Tiger pilots changing from autopilot to manual operation during challenging environments.

The safety initiative based on the company’s own findings is further to the recent Airbus Helicopters Tiger attack helicopter, belonging to the German Helicopter Detachment based in Gao, Mali, which crashed south of Tabankort in late July. Two crew members were killed in the crash.
