Singapore fighter squadron takes on ‘aggressor’ role
The Republic of Singapore Air Force’s (RSAF) 140 Squadron ‘Osprey’ has taken on an ‘aggressor’ training role, as indicated by shoulder patches, believed to be official, produced by local aviation memorabilia store theflygeek.com. The squadron may transition to a composite Boeing F-15SG and Lockheed Martin F-16C/D unit.
The transition is believed to have begun in late August. 140 Squadron is the RSAF’s oldest fighter squadron, commemorating its 50th year of operations in 2020, and operating the F-16 since 1990.
At this stage, the squadron’s F-15 and F-16 components will remain flying from their respective bases of Paya Lebar and
