China achieves maiden sale of FTC-2000G fighter
Chinese company Guizhou Aviation Industry Corporation (GAIC) made its first sale of the twin-seat FTC-2000G fighter in late January, according to a post in its WeChat account this month.
Although neither the price nor the number of aircraft were listed, the quantity is likely to be relatively small. The first batch of FTC-2000G light fighters will be handed over in early 2021, with all aircraft to be delivered two years afterwards.
Reports listed only an ‘undisclosed Southeast Asian country’ as the customer, but Shephard understands it is likely to be Cambodia.
