Elbit Systems purchases UAS Dynamics
Elbit Systems has announced that its subsidiary company, Elbit Systems of America, has purchased General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products’ (GDATP's) holdings in the two companies’ joint-venture, UAS Dynamics. Elbit Systems made the announcement in a 1 December 2011 company statement.
UAS Dynamics was established by Elbit Systems of America and GDARP to provide unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to the US market.
In purchasing UAS Dynamics from co-owner GDATP, Elbit Systems of America is now the sole owner of the company, and it will now become part of Elbit Systems of America's Unmanned Systems business unit, which is responsible for both airborne and seaborne unmanned systems.
