UK Drone Dome acquisition takes shape
The acquisition of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Drone Dome C-UAS solution could be finalised within months according to the UK MoD.
The capability is half way through procurement and this could be completed as soon as end of January 2019, Peter Clarke, director for the MoD C-UAS programme, told Shephard during the International Security Expo in London on 28 November.
Intention for use was also clarified and Clarke said that the C-UAS capability is 'being procured with one specific overseas theatre in mind', however he declined to comment on which location. The system being deployed elsewhere in the future was
