Shadow UAS sustainment continues for Italy, US
Italy will look to maintain its current Shadow V2 fleet through the next decade after awarding an $8.1 million sustainment contract to Textron Systems Unmanned Systems.
The contract, signed on 30 November, could rise to $8.8 million with additional amendments and will run for 30 months to include parts, services, spares and repairs.
At present, the Italian military operates four full systems of Shadow V2 UAVs, comprising of 16 aircraft and associated ground control stations (GCS).
