Logos and PIAP test new C-IED functionalities
An inspection and reconnaissance UGV has been tested in Poland to function at a record 800m distance from the operator.
Logos Imaging, a US-based manufacturer of portable X-ray systems, and Łukasiewicz - PIAP Institute, the Polish designer and manufacturer of C-IED and CBRN reconnaissance robots and accessories, confirmed this capability after a successful test of the PIAP Patrol medium tracked robot in late June near Warsaw.
Full control of the UGV and all its functions, including taking an X-ray image of a suspicious-looking object, was established and maintained with the peripherals from a single console.
