Laflamme completes first flight tests of LX300
Laflamme Aero has successful completed the first series of flight tests for its LX300 UAS, the company announced on 13 September.
The company will continue testing over the next 12 months in order to begin the commercialisation of the LX300 by the autumn of 2019.
With a maximum take-off weight of 300kg and an estimated useful payload of 90kg, the LX300 can be used for both commercial and military applications.
Enrick Laflamme, president of Laflamme Aero, said: ‘We have just completed a very important step. Our first series of flight tests has demonstrated how stable the craft is and how manoeuvrable it is during take-offs and landings.
‘Several of those manoeuvres are both complex and critical. There is no doubt that the results from those tests will allow us to move on more rapidly to the last steps of our development programme.’
