Industry readies for UK counter-UAS requirement

While the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) remains tight-lipped about its urgent capability requirement for a counter-UAS (C-UAS) system one industry member has confirmed its participation in the project.

Leonardo told Shephard that the company is interested in the project and has submitted a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) the UK MoD. However, the company could not go into detail about its offering.

The MoD said: ‘The competition for the [counter-UAS] capability is ongoing. No decisions have yet been made on suppliers or future phases of project work.’

The budget range for the system stands at between £10-20 million.
