Farnborough 2016: Fulmar X appeal to Spanish MoD
Thales formally launched its new Fulmar X UAS at the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA 2016) and has potential orders lined up with the Spanish MoD.
Fulmar X is the latest UAS from the Thales portfolio, which also includes the Watchmaker X. The small and light platform has a 3m wingspan and can operate at eight hours of endurance although this capability is looking to be pushed further.
Eddie Awang, VP of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance at Thales UK, confirmed that the Spanish MoD was likely to purchase Fulmar X as part of its Rapaz requirements.
