Eurosatory: RUAG Vero system set to begin production

RUAG Defence will begin production of its new Vero unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) sensor system from 2016.

Speaking at a live demonstration at Eurosatory, Ferdinand Zoller, business development manager for RUAG Defence – Land Systems said: ‘The Vero system is currently being tested on the General Dynamics Eagle and we are expecting production to begin in 2016.’

While the system is currently being fitted onto the Eagle, Zoller said that RUAG was working towards fitting the Vero system onto other vehicles but these could not be confirmed.
