Thai armed forces order Cobra UGV
ECA Group has received a new contract to supply several units of its Cobra MK2 E UGV to the Thai armed forces.
The company will execute the contract in cooperation with its Thailand partner Apple Scientific.
The Cobra MK2 E is a 5kg UGV designed and developed especially for explosive ordnance disposal (EOD)/improvised explosive device (IED) operations. Its modular architecture and plug-and-play systems enable it be be equipped with different payloads for EOD/IED detection and neutralisation, as well as with various water disruptors or customer-specific payloads.
The system comes with an ultra-light operator control unit for dismounted operations.
ECA Group delivered two units of the Cobra MK2 E in the first half of 2018.
