DSEI 2017: Leonardo predicts unmanned rotary dominance

Leonardo is well into Phase 2 of its Rotary Wing Unmanned Air System (RWAS) capability concept demonstrator (CCD) for the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) as it prepares for Phase 3.

The company said that Phase 2 is set to be completed by 2018 and will clarify both the land and maritime requirements for the system.

Phase 3 will be the programme demonstration phase. The company has completed the concept demonstration of the system and has been working with the Royal Navy.
