B200 upgrades cease as Heron TP capabilities grow

No future upgrades are planned for the B200 reconnaissance aircraft currently operated by the Israeli Air Force (IAF), following a decision to transfer its expected missions to the Heron TP.

The last major upgrade of the IAF's King Air B200 was performed five years ago, although the squadron is the busiest in the service.

Maj Gen Eitan Ben Eliyahu, now retired but former commander of the IAF, said that replacing the B200 with the Heron TP is part of an ongoing process in the service.
