There’s a word not being used around the Australian Airshow or at least only being whispered in dark corners away from the prying ears of mainstream media. The weapon that dare not speak its name.

Dull, dirty and dangerous but don’t mention “drone”.

Several speakers at the unmanned systems conference prior to the show pointed out that “we don’t mention drones, we don’t use the word drone” because of the connotations with more than one dropping grammar bombs as they stumbled around trying to enunciate the plural or possessive of UAS.
