ASV to redeploy C-Workers to Gulf of Mexico

C-Worker 5 and C-Worker 6 unmanned surface vehicles will be redeployed to the Gulf of Mexico in 2017 to assist in ongoing research into the environmental impact on marine mammals following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010.

Five years on from the accident efforts still continue to determine the full impact on the marine and mammal ecosystem as an estimated 4.9 million barrels of oil gushed into the sea from a damage sea-bed pipe.
