Collins Aerospace Simulation and Training Solutions has obtained a $19.53 million contract modification from the US Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division.
The deal will see Collins Aerospace produce and deliver one 2F211 S/N 5 aircrew procedures trainer device, associated technical data and proposal preparation in support of the E-2D Hawkeye Integrated Training System (HITS) programme.
Work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia, and is expected to be completed in April 2024.
In the previous contract modification, worth $26.5 million and awarded in April 2020, Collins Aerospace Simulation and Training Solutions is assisting the USN with software modernisation upgrades to the suite of the E-2D HITS tactics and flight trainer devices.
