ITEC 2019: US Army introduces new combat fitness test

A US Army Physical Fitness School Mobile Training Team (MTT) has recently returned from Fort Campbell, Kentucky after training 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) leaders how to conduct the future service-wide Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT).

The ACFT is set to replace the current Army Physical Fitness Test that has been the army physical fitness measurement standard since 1980. The new test includes six events: maximum deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, leg tuck and a two-mile run.
