ITEC 2019: More RAN bridge business for Kongsberg

Kongsberg Digital has signed a contract for a delivery of two new K-Sim Full Mission Bridge (FMB) simulators for delivery to the Royal Australian Navy’s (RAN) HMAS Watson Bridge Simulator Facility, part of the Maritime Warfare Training Establishment, in Watsons Bay, NSW.

This is the latest in a series of contracts between the RAN and Kongsberg that cover shiphandling and engine room simulators delivered to training facilities across the country.

The requirement for expansion and intensification of the RAN’s training programme is the result of an increasing capability enhancement for the navy. The expansion includes construction of new Hunter Class
