Colt Canada is using this year's SHOT Show in Las Vegas to showcase its newly-developed Modular Railed Rifle (MRR) family of weapons, which is an evolution from the company's well-established C8 rifle.
The main feature of the MRR is the monolithic top rail, or integrated upper receiver (IUP), that incorporates Magpul's M-LOK mounting system. That allows greater flexibility and modularity when it comes to fitting attachments and also contributes to reducing weight of the overall weapon system.
