Exclusive: Netherlands SOCOM stands up
On 5 December, the Netherlands Special Operations Command (NLD SOCOM) will officially stand up as a single entity to command the various special operations force components from across the army, navy and air force.
Speaking exclusively to Shephard ahead of an opening ceremony at the Gilze Rijen Air Base in the Netherlands, service officials from NLD SOCOM described how the new organization will “improve the planning, direction and evaluation of NLD special forces readiness and deployment.”
