The RAND Corporation has published an analysis of US special operations forces aimed at increasing levels of cooperation with conventional forces, other government agencies and policy makers.
The report, which was published on 8th February and is titled “Improving the Understanding of Special Operations,” describes how an ‘improved use’ of special operations forces could be achieved through the improved understanding of decision makers.
However, the report also described how the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) must also enhance its own understanding of the “interagency process and their appropriate roles in it.”
