US Army outlines $1 billion in SOF training opportunities

Last week’s I/ITSEC exhibition in Orlando, Florida, featured updates on training programmes across the armed services. 

As the US Army Project Manager for Instrumentation, Targets and Threat Simulators, and SOF Training Systems (PM ITTS), within the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), Col Richard Haggerty outlined several SOF training efforts within his portfolio.

As an example, he pointed to a new training programme called Soldier Virtual Trainer (SVT), a notional effort that will combine four different training capabilities.
