SAGE EW system for Indonesia
Selex has signed a contract to provide its SAGE 600 digital Electronic Support Measure (ESM) system for the Indonesian Air Force's maritime patrol aircraft, the company announced on 15 June.
The company was awarded the contract by prime contractor for the programme, Integrated Surveillance and Defense. SAGE will be integrated into a mission system for installation onto the air force's CN-235 aircraft.
The EW system can identify and geo-locate RF emitters and can be used for RF ISR missions, collecting emitter data passively and comparing them to an emitter library to identify and geo-locate possible threats.
This procurement marks the first time that SAGE will be integrated on a fixed-wing maritime patrol aircraft. Selex will deliver the system in September 2015.
