SOS Group focuses on portability in recompression chamber sector
Recompression chamber manufacturer SOS Group is looking to introduce a newly developed portable capability into the naval market through its Hyperlite DL5, a prototype of which underwent extensive trials with the USN in 2020.
With legacy systems such as the Hyperlite 1 in service in more than 30 countries worldwide, SOS Group moved to increase portability through the use of an inflatable section that replaces the more traditional metallic tube of a recompression chamber.
The Hyperlite DL5 is able to accommodate up to three personnel during the recompression process, enabling medical personnel to monitor patients from inside the chamber.
