DARPA taps Lockheed to design new large UUV
DARPA has approached Lockheed Martin to design an extra-large UUV powered by innovative energy management techniques, as part of the Manta Ray project, which aims to demonstrate critical technologies for a new class of UUVs.
Lockheed Martin's Advanced Technology Laboratories on 21 February was awarded a $12 million contract for Phase 1 of the Manta Ray programme.
